KELLY WILSON
PRESIDENT
Kelly was raised in Montgomery and graduated from the Auburn University School of Nursing in 1987. While getting her Master's Degree at Troy State University in Adult Health Nursing with an emphasis on Education, she married her high school sweetheart Steve who played from 1983-1986 for the Tigers under Coach Pat Dye. They have 3 children: Haley (32), a graduate of the University of Alabama who works in DC for Rep Mike Rogers; Mitchell (24), their only child who chose to attend Auburn and who is trying to see how long he can stay there; and Macie (22), who picked Huntingdon College when she signed to play softball for the Lady Hawks. She graduated May 2023 with a double major in Collaborative Education and Special Ed. Kelly loves everything Auburn, especially their sports!
Joey Ammons
VICE PRESIDENT
Joey Ammons currently serves the Montgomery Auburn Club as Vice President. Joey graduated from Auburn University’s School of Business as a Finance major in December 1987. Following graduation, he graduated from Jones School of Law in 1992, and practiced law as General Counsel for the Alabama Department of Labor until 2022. In November 2022, Joey became the President/Administrator of ForestFund which is a self-insured group fund sponsored by the Alabama Forestry Association and which provides workers compensation coverage to businesses in the forest products industry in Alabama. Joey has been a long-time supporter of Auburn University and Auburn athletics. Joey’s daughter, Abbie, will graduate from Auburn University’s School of Human Sciences in December 2025.
ERIN SLOAN '04

Erin graduated from Auburn University at Montgomery with a BS in Business Administration in 2004. She has served on the MAC board for over 6 years. Erin and her husband James own a landscaping company, SloanScapes, LLC and also have a partnership with a local consignment sale, Children’s Clothing Exchange. James & Erin are parents to 2 future Auburn Tigers- Brooks (8) and Jackson (5). She and her family enjoy all things Auburn, especially Aubie the Tiger!

Theresa Steele Mitchell

After graduating from high school in Montgomery, Theresa “set sails” for the Plains! She graduated from Auburn University with a BS in Secondary Education in 2001. Afterwhich, she obtained her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from Stetson University, embarking on a career as an educator and psychotherapist thereafter. She serves on the MAC board as a Member-at-Large and as the Social Media Manager. Theresa and her husband are optimistic that at least one of their three little ones will follow in their mom’s footsteps to become an Auburn University Alum.
